Our Honduras Marsala Fair Trade coffee, is grown by Cooperativa Regional Mixta de Agricultores Organicos de la Sierra (RAOS), an association with 200 members who produce coffee on small family-owned farmers in the Marcala growing region within the department of La Paz, Honduras. Coffee produced in the Marcala region has a protected designation of origin (DENOMINACION DE ORIGEN CAFE DE MARCALA) to preserve the renowned reputation of the Marcala brand. RAOS was founded in 1997 and is the first cooperative of small and medium organic coffee producers in Honduras.
